A grand casino event featuring Vegas games such as roulette, blackjack and poker was recently launched by Student Activities Council (SAC) and Campus Recreation. Students were given a great opportunity to win variety of prizes and enjoy some free fun. The majority of student, occupying the US Commons and Sunnen Lounge have been captured memorized at the roulette wheel, expediently shuffling with chips.
Peer Education Zeitgeist catered free mocktails and non-alcoholic cocktails. At the beginning of the evening, participants were given chips worth $500, so that later on they’d be able to cash in their chips for tickets in order to be eligible for prize drawings.
Niki Femmer, graduate advertising/marketing major and graduate assistant for the University Center and SAC, said roulette turned out to be one of the more popular games played and the organizers have made efforts to meet the requirements of the participants, indulging winners with great prizes.
