The Grand venture of “Cabaret of Fools” could not have chosen a better site than the Grand American Hotel Grand Salon. The rounding up ambience was tinged by the very best of the entertaining resources. The Crescent City Band belly dancers were gliding on the parquet floor circling the roulette wheels and blackjack tables.
A variety of auction items were offered to the 180 guests to bid, ranging from Jerry Seinfeld show tickets, to vehicles. But the most of the attention was stolen by the roulette table, where Shirley Ririe was finessing with the multiple pink chips to show the luck which befalls the beginners.
During the cocktail hour, the guests were also treated with the delightful masterpieces performed by the pianist Joanne Elmer. Close to $95,000 were grossed from the event. The reports have praised the enterprise, according to which, the people were unwilling to depart and danced to the music of Sax Machine late into the evening hours.
