Dramatic rise in SkyBet annual profits over the last quarter featured £186 million for the last nine month. This is warranted by the addition of 95,000 subscribers across the UK and Ireland.
The ten percent of the registered margin growth, in comparison to the previous year, was driven by the infusion of new fixed odd betting (FOBT) machines such as Roulette. Sky is quite confident that with the introduction of a new Gambling Bill, the gamut of gambling opportunities will be more welcoming.
FOBTs Roulette machines, according to the company’s spokesman, have helped to bring closer the ultimate goal of 8 million subscribers, by the end of 2005.
