Impressive revenue digits, Las Vegas casinos display do not seem to surprise a soul. Following the glamorous opening of the Wynn casino, May turned out to be the month in which Nevada casinos managed to scoop $1.02 billion from gambling Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat and other casino games.
Gov. Kenny Guinn noted that the month of May signified the 10th revenue leap Nevada has had in monthly winnings, which seems to exhibit a steady rise of the market, without any signs for a slowdown.
On the whole, figures generated by the table game profits, show a rise in 4.9 percent, with Roulette increasing the yield by 5.1 percent, Baccarat 21.3 percent, poker 33.5 percent, sport pool gross climbed up to 3.4 percent and only craps revenues were down 7.5 percent.
On the Strip, table game take increased by 8.1 percent, with Roulette grossing $22.2 million, Baccarat $58.3 million, blackjack dropping to $76 million and craps rising to $27 million.
