The game of Roulette abounds with myths, probably more than any other casino game. One of those is the common belief that roulette spinning cycle gets “matured” over numerous spins, to a point where certain numbers tend to come out more often.
This has little to do with reality, since the game of roulette is purely a game of chance. In other words, no matter how long you let the roulette spinning, the chance of any number coming up is virtually the same. Specifically, in a double zero roulette, with 38 slots, the chance of a tiny ball halting on any slot is always 1/38. Thereby, placing same bets over and over again would neither get you closer nor further away from the winning.
Another roulette myth has to do with some players relying too heavily on the wheel biases. The truth is that roulette wheels are routinely checked, calibrated and repaired, keeping possible irregularities insignificant.
