On Thursday evening, the Indonesian police impounded roulette tables, notorious “micky mouse” video arcade games and slots called “jackpots”, from Jakarta 16 gambling dens. The equipment was seen stacked on the city police headquarter parking lot.
All in all, about 3,000 gaming devices were confiscated from the large casinos across the city. The city police chief Insp. Gen. Firman Gani maintained that though many complaints were received from people doubting the seriousness of the measures taken against gambling actions, the fact that gambling machines were confiscated from the most prominent gambling dens proves that police means business.
Yet, there are still those that say that the alleged raids on large casinos are nothing but a fiction.
