The Saunders County Amusement Association has been known to operate amusement rides at the fairgrounds since 1989. The entertainment program of the carnival-in-residence provides a Ferris Wheel, roller coaster and other safe and satisfying entertaining devices.
The core attraction purchased some time ago by the Association for the 2005 fair is a 20-seat- roulette-wheel-shaped ride, named Casino. The riders on the roulette wheel will be spun around and tilted up to 45 degrees.
The Saunders Association is a non-profit organization and all the revenues from the fair enterprises are funneled towards equipment upgrading, including paint and repairs. The ride tickets are sold for $1.50 or less. The state officials and trained volunteer operators check the equipment on the yearly basis.
