Roulette scam was recently unveiled involving three men, Martin Kwong Lee, 42, Shuhal Miah 36 and Martin Fitz 45 who amidst the play of roulette would hide a few chips in their hands as the wheel was spinning. One of the men would distract the dealer by continuously asking him for more tokens and after making sure the staff is distracted, they would put in chips after the ball has already halted in one of the slots.
Those legendary men have entered the history as the first roulette cheaters who’ve been sentenced for fraud under the Gaming Act 1845. Detectives reported that the gang would use a number of fake identities to enter a wide range of casinos, to which otherwise they would be prevented from entering.
Three men were penalized each according to the severity of his deeds. Lee, was fined £170 and given a community punishment order. Miah got a year on probation and was fined £880. Fitz was directed to the community rehabilitation order.
