Approaching session of September legislation stirs up some of the lawmakers who wish to grant opportunity to their counties to express their opinions on regards of the authorization of table games such as roulette, blackjack, poker and others.
The West Virginia’s Gov. Joe Manchin contended that should there be a legislation allowing for table games such as roulette, blackjack and other games at the state’s four tracks, state’s video mini-casinos should also be operated under a better controlling system.
Keeping in mind all the Fors and Againsts, West Virginia officials must tightly guard the integrity of their community and secure the state’s coffer. Generally speaking, officials believe that counties with racetracks should be the ones to determine the ultimate fate of the games of roulette, blackjack and others.
At the moment, the racetracks in Hancock, Ohio, Kanawha and Jefferson counties have already put in their funds into the table gambling operations, which for the most part, attract out-of-state players.
