Stargames Limited, a producer of gambling machines, announced that profits for 2004-5 exceeded expectations, netting $6.01 million instead of the $5 million the company had announced it expected. Despite the higher-than-expected profits, the company had a worse year financially than in the previous year. In 2003-4, Stargames showed a net profit of $6.7 million.
The saving grace? Vegas Star Games. Vegas Star Roulette, Baccarat, Blackjack, and Sic Bo raised their sales this year. With the ever-increasing popularity of roulette, more and more casinos are adding video roulette to their repertoire.
