Two top fashion magazines, Elle and InStyle, are launching huge parties to launch Fashion Week. Elle will be celebrating its twenty-first birthday with blackjack and roulette tables, and there will be a bash at Bloomingdale’s to celebrate the place where Elle's first issue debuted.
In addition to the roulette tables, guests will have a chance to hobnob with Kristy Hume, Kayne West, Katie Couric, and Rebecca Romijn, among others. For those guests who just can’t keep away from the gambling, at least they’ll be spinning the roulette wheels for a good cause, colon cancer research.
At InStyle, the party will be a little more traditional, with a top-notch fashion show showcasing fall fashions from over 60 different designers, and for those who didn’t get invitations, there will be a big screen TV outside showing the fashion show.
