Gala casino workers across London have said that they will stop dealing the cards, spinning the roulette wheels, and serving the drinks if their wage demands are not met. Union members announced that they would not accept Gala's offer of a 2.25% pay raise, even if the raise were backdated to April.
The vast majority of union members support an action such as striking. Gala refused to meet with union representatives to discuss the pay issue until next week, but the union believes that the majority vote to halt the roulette wheels and still the dice at the craps tables might be enough to convince Gala to speed up the discussion.
