Animal lovers and owners arrived yesterday at the Serra Center at the Mission San Luis Rey Parish in Oceanside, California for the North County Humane Society & SPCA's annual Fall Ball. Participating restaurants joined the “Around the World on 80 Paws” theme and offered a variety of authentic food, from Irish shepherd's pie to Greek kabob. In addition, casino games, such as roulette, were offered.
Entertainment included a silent auction, live auction, roulette tables, craps, blackjack, a Hold'em Poker Tournament and more. All profits from the event were donated to the homeless animals at the North County Humane Society shelter. |
