Recently published police statistics demonstrate that the number of gambling-related arrests, including roulette crimes, have sharply declined over the last few years. Only eight such arrests were made in the first quarter of 2005, compared with 134 in 2002.
The gambling crimes related to a large range of games, and include some slightly unfamiliar games such as “pasar malam” and “pai gow” poker and, last but not least, roulette. These crimes have been detected by the police's Anti-Vice and Suppression Unit. |
