Boston University's School of Management Student Government held its annual fundraising night yesterday. Over 600 students participated in the Casino Night-themed evening and raised an estimated $4,000 for charity. Games included roulette, blackjack, craps and other casino games.
The event was held at the George Sherman Union Metcalf Ballroom. Christmas decorations covered the walls and the tables, and jazz music played in the background. Students were given a cup with chips worth $20,000 of fake money, which they used to place their bets on the roulette table and for other casino games.
This is 10th year that the event has been held. Profits will be donated to Camp Starfish, an overnight camp in New Hampshire that works with children who have emotional and behavioral problems. |
