Neil Roberts, 27, a tourist from the UK, killed himself last week by hopping over the roof of the Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas. Shortly before his suicide, he had sent his mother an email, happily announcing he had won $1,100 at the roulette table. He also told his mother that the weather was great and that he had seen the Grand Canyon. Roberts signed the message by stating that he would try to hit one big win to pay for his holiday.
Roberts' friends and family believe he bet all his winnings on a final spin of the roulette wheel – and lost it all. However, all thoughts are based on speculations, and they might never have an actual answer. Neil's body will be brought home this week. |
