Mihad Kukuljevic, a 67-year-old pensioner, was charged with threatening to burn or destroy a building in connection with threats he made at an Australian casino this past November. The event occurred at the SkyCity casino in the city of Darwin after Kukuljevic lost $200 at the roulette table. The loss left him with only the AU$1.40 he needed to ride the bus home.
After losing the money Kukuljevic told the croupier that he would return to the casino with a bomb strapped to his body to blow up the gambling establishment. In court, Kukuljevic pleaded guilty to the single charge for which he was tried, and the magistrate sentenced him to a two-year good behaviour bond. In total, Kukuljevic has reportedly gambled away $200,000 throughout his lifetime.
