Casinos in Nevada thought that March earnings would disappoint after bad weather hit the state. Contrary to expectations, however, during the month of March, the Nevada Gaming Control Board recorded the second highest monthly win ever, $1.06 billion. Roulette was also instrumental in helping boost the state casinos' monthly win, however, only ever-so-slightly.
Table games won 5.8% more this past March than during the same month last year. This increase was boosted largely by blackjack and baccarat, which both showed an approximately 9% increase. Roulette was up just 0.9%, while craps fell 4.8%.
