Gov. Jeb Bush has launched his final battle against casinos suppressing gambling expansion at all costs. He warned residents and business leaders about the devastating consequences that may besiege the state with changing the current life style to the Las Vegas one.
Opponents have recurrently emphasized that giving green light to Seminole and Miccosukee tribal casinos to integrate such games as roulette, blackjack, craps and other casino games will not only endanger the residents by surge in crime, but it’ll damage the flow of tourists.
Bush’s anti-gambling endeavors have begun with an early round-table breakfast with business leaders and a bipartisan array of area lawmakers in Coral Gables. The next meeting on his agenda was scheduled to be with senior citizens at an early voting location in West Miami. Other business leaders in Broward County were visited by Bush, in addition to editorial boards across the region, whom he managed to dedicate some time too.
